    Product Description

    One of the most annoying interior problems with a late model Mustang is the center console ashtray door. The center consoles of 1987 to 1993 Mustangs have inherent design flaws that cause the door to stop functioning after a short time. Pony R® Parts, formally Mavromont, has designed a permanent fix for this problem that does not require the need for a new door, spring, or center console piece. You can use your existing parts. In actuality the door or spring are rarely the problem.

      Ashtray door repair kit (87-93 Mustangs)

      To begin, this is the third time I have installed an ashtray door repair kit, and the process was straightforward. The detailed instructions with accompanying pictures provided by Demetrios were very helpful. I used the entire kit to ensure the ashtray door functions properly for years to come. I am impressed with the high quality and durable materials of the components included in the kit, unlike the plastic piece in LMR's kit. While I was close to giving this product a perfect score of 5 stars, I encountered a minor issue with the ashtray door not closing completely. I reached out for assistance via email and Facebook Messenger but unfortunately did not receive any response to resolve the problem. I sent multiple messages, and even though my message was read on Facebook Messenger, I still haven't received any replies. If I may offer some feedback, improving customer support would be beneficial. Apart from this, I have no further complaints and I am extremely satisfied with this kit and the rest of their product offerings. Thank you.

      87-93 Ashtray repair kit

      Great kit. Needed to replace the spring tab and this was the only kit that had the entire tab. The LMR kit does not come with the entire tab.
